Alright, so, Iconoclasts is a rather odd game. Its gameplay is as simple as it comes. You can shoot, jump, and after very early in the game, swing a wrench that can be used as a melee attack, a parry, and a tool to activate specific bolts that work like buttons. As the game progresses you unlock a few extra moves like a grenade launcher or the ability to charge yourself electrically. This is used to solve the game’s MANY puzzles, and to fight the game’s plentiful bosses, a decent chunk of which are glorified puzzles with a little more tension. I hope you like that, because that’s essentially the gameplay loop. Mechanically speaking this game isn’t very difficult and one can beat a casual playthrough rather easily even in the highest default difficulty, even if you end up getting stuck in a boss or two.
